ClientTahirih Justice Center
Tahirih Justice center is one of our favorite examples of how a new website and communications materials can help transform an organization. Tahirih’s previous site was static, limited in scope and difficult to navigate. After we launched this new responsive site, Tahirih’s website traffic, donations, social media engagement, e-newsletter opens, volunteer requests, pro bono attorney inquiries and speaking engagement requests increased substantially. We’re so pleased to see how the initial buzz has evolved into sustained growth over one year after launch.
The new site features responsive slideshows, imagery, video and custom infographics with multiple custom page layouts to help their content shine. A dynamic social media wall collects Tahirih’s social media posts across Facebook, Twitter and YouTube and displays them all on one page. We built two separate document libraries: a public one for general Tahirih documents and a private password-protected resource library for pro bono attorneys. Custom action alerts feature time-sensitive action items users can respond to right away, while Success Stories highlight the experiences of the women and girls Tahirih has helped.
Robust taxonomies handle various types of information with cross-referencing, categories and tags for easier filtering. Visitors can see news and events related to specific office locations as well as Tahirih as a whole. There are several history timelines on the site for various projects and programs. A job board displays available positions at Tahirih, either organization-wide or filterable by job type or office location.
