ClientARCHE (Allies for Reaching Community Health Equity)
Launched in early January 2017, the ARCHE website helps researchers and policymakers easily find the information, resources, training opportunities and expert contacts they need to promote health equity in lower-income and marginalized communities.
One of the highlights of this website is its advanced resources library. This library includes eight content types and two sets of extensive topic-related tags, enabling visitors to filter and search to locate precisely the resources they need whether they’re on a desktop, tablet or mobile device. ARCHE staff enjoy the streamlined resources entry workflow on the back end, with custom fields activating automatically based on the content type selected.
The ARCHE website also features custom handling of events and training opportunities. These events are listed separately on the training and events page as well as the resources library. For webinars produced by the ARCHE team, visitors can register directly via an embedded form linked to the ARCHE GoToWebinar account.
Custom layouts abound throughout the site, including separate design for story narratives and each of the different content types in the resources library.
With its diverse variety of content types, it’s important for this website to direct visitors to related content throughout the site. We built dynamic custom sidebars that adapt depending on the page content to display additional information related to the content on that page. At a user behavior analytics level, this has helped contribute to ARCHE’s average session time being approximately 2 minutes long, which is unusually high and shows visitors are engaging successfully with the content.
